This Teapot Painting Workshop is a relaxing and creatively engaging experience that encourages participants to slow down, explore self-expression, and connect through art. Guided by an experienced facilitator, participants will be introduced to ceramic painting techniques while designing and painting their own personalised teapot. The session will conclude with a tea ceremony using the finished teapots.

How to express yourself through colour, understanding how different colour choices convey mood, personality, and emotion, and how to use colour combinations intentionally to reflect your individual style.
 
Painting inspirations through patterns and motifs, exploring traditional and contemporary design elements such as floral motifs, geometric patterns, symbolic imagery, and abstract forms that can be adapted onto a teapot’s surface.
 
Ceramic painting techniques, including brush control, layering, line work, pattern repetition, and working with curved ceramic forms to achieve balanced and cohesive designs.
 
Hands-on creation from concept to completion, where you will design, paint, and finish your own teapot, transforming a blank ceramic piece into a functional, self-designed tea vessel to bring home.
 
The cultural significance of teapot painting, learning how decorated teapots have historically reflected cultural identity, storytelling, craftsmanship, and social rituals across different tea cultures.
 
Creative confidence and mindful focus, gaining the ability to trust your creative decisions while enjoying the calming, meditative nature of hands-on artistic work.
